Rainbow style cake for kids

Don't have time to make a fabulous cake and spend hour decorating it, here is an easy solution.

Using a 1 or 2 boxes of vanilla cake mix , your favourite brand is fine. Follow the directions, before baking separate mixture into three parts, place each in a bowl, in one bowl add a few drops of green food coloring, mix well, next bowl add red food coloring and mix well, third bowl mix in yellow.

In a round cake pan or angle food cake pour in reddish pink cake mix then gently spoon In yellow then green, careful not to dump one color into the next the colors will mix and you won't get the rain bow affect.

Bake according to direction' on box, layer colors however you want, Top with you favourite icing, whit looks the best. Buy some soft chew candies like Starburst, remove wrappers and lay a few on top of cake, use icing tube to draw ribbons and bow making the candy look like presents, add some sprinkles and viola.

This is an easy way to make a fun cake, when you cut into the cake, the slices will have all the colors you've layered. This cake can be used for any occasion really, for a boy you could use red and green, or layer with blue, red and white for July 4^th, what ever you want.
